We are providing you with an update on bargaining with respect to our collective agreement.

As you know, we were able to start meeting representatives of the employer at the bargaining table in November 2024. We have since been fully engaged in collective bargaining, holding 11 bargaining sessions with the employer with two more scheduled for this summer. We remind you that our obligation to bargain in good faith precludes us from providing you with details of the discussions taking place at the bargaining table.

Please know that your CMCFA Bargaining Committee is committed to reaching a collective agreement that protects and strengthens our identity as university faculty, and that provides adequate recognition for the hard work we do in these difficult times.

We are carefully considering all proposals from the employer and are working hard to get a suitable agreement as quickly as possible and will advise you of further developments.
